Government Emergency Food Program

The Assumption Center is a non-profit, charitable organization whose primary focus is the distribution of food. We are able to give out government emergency food to clients who reside in the area bounded by Fulton Street, Manhattan Boulevard, Stickney Avenue, and Woodruff Avenue.

We provide bags of commodities consisting of non-perishable foods. Our food is picked up from the Food Bank once a month and we take whatever is available. Our supplies are supplemented with donations from other churches, schools, and individuals.

St. Vincent de Paul Society

The St. Vincent de Paul Society provides food, clothing, and household items for families and individuals in need. Each family or individual must have a current ID with correct address and will have a home visit from a team of Center representatives to assess the needs in the home.
